A comprehensive program for the trainable mentally retarded at Kelso Village School, Fresno, California

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate and evaluate the existing programs utilized in public and private schools for the training of the trainable mentally retarded child. Hebb’s learning theory was evaluated as to its applicability to the trainable retarded, as were pre- and post-school programs. The final development of this study was a synthesis of this data into a comprehensive program for the trainable mentally retarded for use at the Kelso Village School in Fresno, California, based on current applicable learning theories and developmental growth sequences.
