Clothing needs of king-sized men in the Fresno Metropolitan area

It is presently thought that two segments of the ready-to-wear men's apparel market are being overlooked. These two segments are the tall man and the stout man. This study attempts to determine the percentage of men within the Fresno Metropolitan area whose physical characteristics define them as either tall men or stout men. A second part of this study will determine how men's clothing department or store managers evaluate the size of these market segments--that is, determine their subjective ideas about the quantitative and qualitative size of these markets. Using the results of this study, a clothing merchant might be able to realign his present clothing lines to enter such an area in depth should these two groups be considered large enough.
