Analysis of public cancer education and programs

This study is concerned with the basic knowledge which the general public in Fresno County; California may or may not have about malignant cancer; knowledge and recognition of the warning signals of cancer; knowledge of the benefits of having annual physical examinations and the actual practice of having such examinations; and the knowledge of the work and programs of the Fresno County Unit of the American Cancer Society. The problem; therefore; is to determine the effectiveness of the public education-information program of the Fresno County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
