A comparison on the concepts of consultation held by nursing educators and practitioners in hospitals

Nurse educators at Fresno State College are generally considered to be experts in the various fields in nursing because they possess master's degree. They are in a position to offer a consultation service to the hospitals in the Fresno area. Yet, no organized service in the Department of Nursing exists at Fresno State College. It is the purpose of this study to compare the Fresno State College nurse educator's concepts of the role of the nurse consultant with the concepts of the role of the nurse consultant as seen by the nurse practitioner in the Fresno Area.
