Milligram separations of niobium and tantalum

The following paper covers the work done in the laboratories of the Chemistry Department of the Fresno State College from 1951 to 1953. As more questions have arisen than answers obtained, this paper is more of a progress report with suggestions for further investigation than the complete and final answer to the problem of the separation of tantalum and niobium. However, it is felt by the author that certain of the problems involved in the separation of milligram and microgram quantities of these elements have been solved.
