Speech correction in the schools of Fresno, California

The purpose of this study is to describe and evaluate the special educational program and facilities for speech handicapped children in the city schools of Fresno, California. This evaluation of practice in the Fresno City Schools is to be compared with statements of agreed upon ideal practices recommended by recognized authorities. It is made with the purpose of pointing out the degree to which the program in Fresno City is in accord with these recommended practices and similarly to pint out where the local program is in need of modification or improvement.
