How Do K-12 Teachers Apply the Affective Domain in Their Classrooms?

The article presents information about a study regarding the application of the affective education in classrooms by teachers. Interviews with a number of classroom teachers were conducted to begin to identify questions about their affective domain goals. The informal interviews were first conducted to identify the types of instructional goals in the affective domain which teachers thought in planning their instructions. An interview protocol was constructed and was undertaken to find out more specifics about the goals. The interview was used in a pilot study with 12 classroom teachers registered in several graduate classes at a state university in California. These 12 teachers were teaching in elementary, middle, and high schools. They ranged in age from 23 to 48, with an average age of 37.8.
