Reporting in special classes: a study of reporting methods for educable mentally retarded

There was a twofold purpose involved in this study. The first was to discover current opinions on evaluation in programs for the educable mentally retarded. The second purpose was to develop a proposed method of reporting and/or evaluating to be considered or adapted for use in the Fresno City Unified School District for the educable mentally retarded intermediate classes. In order to discover current opinions on evaluation in programs for the educable mentally retarded, an investigation into the following questions was necessary. 1. What were the opinions and suggestions concerning the reporting system and the content of the report of the twelve teachers of the intermediate educable mentally retarded classes in the Fresno City Unified School District? 2. What were the opinions and suggestions of 105 California Special Education Administrators concerning the methods and/or materials that were being used to report the progress of the intermediate educable mentally retarded students?
