Central Valley Honor Flight: Radio Documentary Transcript

Tens of thousands of World War Two and Korean War vets have made the pilgrimage to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor. They went as guests of the Honor Flight program that started ten years ago to take vets to see the new World War Two Memorial. In 2013, a group of Central Valley volunteers joined the program. And since then, nearly 700 valley vets have made the trip with the Central Valley Honor Flight. Earlier this summer, Fresno State professor Faith Sidlow joined 65 veterans and their guardians on a whirlwind tour of the nations capital. She captured the sounds of their adventure and their memories from the past.
