Revolucionarios y bandidos: la trayectoria villista en la Revolución mexicana

Abstract: In the last decades of the nineteenth century, Mexico experienced political stability, economic development, and relative social tranquility. The revolutionary movement that started in 1910 disrupted this status quo. Through the analysis of several testimonies, this article focuses on the rise of criminality and violence in Northern Mexico during the revolution.
